Go Creative with Flavored Coffee - Here Are Some Unusual Recipes

The coffee aficionados are too snobbish to offer high status to the flavored coffee. But never mind their prudish outlook toward these tasty drinks - who cares what others say about your food habit! Go by your taste buds when it comes to the selection of foods and drinks. So never say no to flavored coffee even if your buddies in the coffee house ridicule you for that.

So what do we actually mean by the term "flavored coffee?"
As the term suggests, flavored coffee refers to a kind of concoction that receives an enriched scent and taste with the help of some additional substances. Chocolate, maple syrup, and vanilla are some of the most common flavors that go well with the unique aroma of coffee. Hazelnut Cream and orange are other two elements commonly used in several flavored coffee recipes.

Artificial flavoring
In addition to the natural flavoring agents, today chemical solvents are hugely employed to create the unique flavoring. These chemical flavoring agents usually mimic the scents of the natural substances. Chemicals are added to the whole bean while it is still warm from roasting. These flavored beans are meant to overpower the natural aroma of the coffee in order to be assertive.

In the local grocery stores, you will come to find the premixed flavored coffee. While they taste great, there is still scope of enhancing the taste of your drink with a touch of little creativity. Here are some flavored coffee recipes to stir up your imagination:

Café L’orange
For this you will need dried orange pills ground to one table spoon of dust and a pinch of cinnamon dust. Now take two table spoon of instant coffee, add to it two tablespoon of sugar. Combine all the ingredients with hot milk or boiled water. Your yummy flavored coffee is ready for your sip.

Mint coffee
Make a cup of coffee with instant coffee powder and sugar. Add one table spoon of dried and crushed mint leaves to it and stir well. Add a dollop of cream on the top of it before serving.

Spice coffee
Try this essentially South Asian recipe when it snows or rains heavily outside. Grind an inch of cinnamon, ¼ of a nutmeg, 2/3 cloves and 2/3 cardamoms together. Now make coffee by mixing hot creamy milk, two table spoon of instant coffee powder and two table spoon of sugar. Now add the ground spice into the liquid and stir well. Enjoy the taste along with your loved one beside you; it is sure to add to the warmth of the ambience.

Thus there are endless possibilities with flavored coffee. You can make wonder with such ingredients as hazelnut cream, vanilla and of course chocolate. Work on your imagination and use different ingredients to rediscover your favorite drink in a different way.
