Chill Out With a Nice Glass of Iced Coffee

For a generation of coffee drinkers, coffee means little more than a hot beverage or a shot of espresso, occasionally with the touch of crema on the top of it.

But coffee can turn out to be a drink much versatile than that. It doesn’t matter if you can not brew your coffee like a seasoned barista---you need to know an easy to make iced coffee recipe, add touches of creativity of your own and here you go with a mug-full that is enough to astound the most prudish coffee aficionado.

The brewing
The best iced coffee can be made with espresso. If you do not have an espresso maker, then use finely ground strong blend to make the coffee. For brewing, you can use a normal percolating coffee brewer.

It is important to use the proper coffee blend in right quantity and water if you want to make a perfect glass of iced coffee; be careful to use 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 4 oz of water. This will make a considerably strong drip brew just ideal for making iced coffee.

Cool it down
Brew your coffee well in advance, so it gets adequate time to cool down. But if you are not ready to settle on anything lesser than espresso, then brew it fresh, just before you make the drink.

Use the proper ice cubes
Don’t make a fool of yourself by dropping a few plain ice cubes into your brew…it will make your drink taste watery and bland. You need to freeze some coffee in an ice cube tray in advance.

Give it a shake
To make the perfect presentation you can do one thing: make use of Cocktail Shaker and give it a good shake before you serve the chilled coffee before your friends. The shake will add extra froth over it to give it a yummy look.

Two creative tips for you in the end:

  • Instead of using just plain coffee ice cubes, add one or two whole roasted coffee beans to each cube---this will speak of your love for details.
  • You can also add maple or chocolate syrups in the coffee to make it a little jazzy.

Now that you know how to make a perfect glass of iced coffee, make a cool statement by serving glassful of this wonderful drink!
